Description
Innovative trends in financing Catholic school initiatives will be explored by a panel of members of philanthropic organizations. Dr. Erik Goldschmidt will facilitate the discussion as strategies suggested in his and Dr. Mary Walsh’s study, "Sustaining Urban Catholic Elementary Schools: An Examination of Governance Models and Funding Strategies," will provide the springboard for the discussion. The session will examine the challenges and opportunities related to strategic grant-making with Catholic urban elementary schools. Panelists will discuss strategies to improve the financial sustainability of Catholic schools, models of collaboration between grant-makers and school professionals, criteria for grant-selection, and expectations for grant project outcomes.
