Paul Laurence Dunbar, A Prayer
(1875-1912) He was trained and educated in England and lived in England all his life. He was exposed to Black cultures through readings, research, and attending the annual London concerts of the Fisk Jubilee Singers. He attended the Royal College of Music and was a violin major and piano minor. When Dunbar visited England, the two became friends.
