Biographical Information

(1899-1965) Antonio Lora was a composer and pianist. He studied theory and composition with Rubin Goldmark and Eduardo Trucco and piano with Alberto Jonas. In 1925, he began studies at New York University, where his teachers were Philip James and Albert Stoessel. He graduated from the Juilliard Graduate School of Music and was on the faculty for six years. He also was a piano accompanist for the Mendelssohn Glee Club of New York and was a faculty member at Ohio State University and Long Island University.
