Paul Laurence Dunbar, Dawn
(1864-1949) Leoni composed operas, cantatas and oratorios. He studied music at the Milan Conservatory, studying under Ponchielli and Dominiceti. He moved to England where he also worked as a conductor in London. His work has been performed at the Metropolitan Opera. After Leoni returned to Italy in 1917, he composed several other operas, about which little is known.
