Abstract

Tip sheet announces upcoming events at UD: The American Chemical Society will honor Brother John Lucier, S.M., for 40 years of service to the organization; Sister Mary Virginia Orna will be the featured guest speaker, presenting "Uncovering the Secrets of Medieval Artists Through Chemistry." Also, the Engineers Club of Dayton will name UD scientist Hans von Ohain, designer of the jet aircraft engine, a fellow.
