Faculty in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work include sociologists, social workers, and an anthropologist. Our teaching-learning focus is on the local community, and our research interests range from poverty, new social movements, and community organizing to ethnology, political violence, sex trafficking, race relations, and segregation.
