Description
Jesus stands on a pedestal with a eucharistic chalice in his left hand and the host in his right. A boy kneels before him with his hands clasped in prayer. Three angels also kneel around Jesus, one with her hands clasped together, one with her hands crossed over her chest, and one holding a lily. A lamb lays on the ground before Jesus. Trees and grass are visible behind the scene. The back of the card has an inscription commemorating the First Communion of Louis-Paul Mathis made in Colmar, in the Alsace region of France.
