Abstract

Stand-up comedian and playwright Steve Bluestein just published his first book, Memoir of a Nobody, a collection of short stories about life, love, comedy, show business and overcoming a difficult childhood. It's described as "a hilarious look at the insane life of one of America's funniest comedians." His first play, Rest, In Pieces was read at Theater East by Ed Asner and Estelle Harris and has been optioned for Broadway. Most recently, his play When One is Gone won the Chameleon Theater Circle playwrights' Award and was a finalist in the Palm Springs Playwrights' Festival.
