Abstract

During a six week internship with the Alternative Energy Development Board (AEDB) of Pakistan, work on many different fronts was accomplished. Maintenance work was done on photovoltaic systems and solar stills which the government had provided to villages in the Thar desert on a pilot basis. A brief training course on the installation and operation of photovoltaic systems was completed. Also, an inspection manual for newly installed photovoltaic systems in villages was tested and refined.
