Abstract
Historical injustices and systemic barriers prevent many Black, Latino and low-income students from achieving their full potential. While some are rooted in educational institutions or systems like housing, healthcare, transportation and employment, others are structural manifestations of historic and intentional discrimination and marginalization of communities of color. This session will examine how place-based partnerships like Learn to Earn Dayton advance equity and justice by unearthing the root causes of educational opportunity gaps.
