Why the honoree chose the book

Beyond presenting the cutting edge of entrepreneurship research at the time, this book helped me identify the gap in the literature I examined in my dissertation, which was on the topic of entrepreneurial networks. Following my dissertation work, my continued study of entrepreneurial networks has become a key stream of research that has helped me contribute to and build knowledge in my scholarly domain. I largely attribute my scholarly contributions on entrepreneurial networks to the inspiration I derived from this book.
