Abstract

Message from Dean:

It is particularly appropriate that the year 1976 marks not only the two hundredth anniversary of our nation's birth but also the first issue of the University of Dayton's Intramural Law Review. It gives me more than a little pride to have the honor, along with Father Roesch, of introducing this new publication.

In a very real sense this first issue represents the end of a beginning. Less than eighteen months ago our first class commenced studies here. Now those students have progressed halfway through their law school careers. They have also produced this first example of what we hope and expect will be a long tradition of excellent legal scholarship. In this issue we have the tangible culmination of the efforts contributed by students and faculty who were directly involved in its writing and publication.
