Description

Catholic holy card illustrating the vows of consecrated life from the Auguste Martin collection. The front of the card depicts a nun holding a crucifix and rosary, while wearing a crown of thorns. She is surrounded by images of a dove, her order's rulebook, a ball of yarn with knitting needles, and an oil lamp. The back of the card contains a reflection on the vows of women religious; the text is partially obscured. The edges of the card feature intricate lacework. This card was printed by Boumard in collaboration with Ch. Letaille.
