Paris (France), Lynn (Mass.)

The crucified Jesus hangs on a cross surrounded by lilies. Other flowers appear in the background of the image, some embossed in gold. Next to the crucifix is a passage from the Office of Saint Agnes. The back of the card has an inscription commemorating the profession of religious vows by a Sister of Saint Joseph of Lynn, Massachusetts on July 24, 1930. Created by Bouasse-Jeune.

He loved me! Poverty, Chastity, Obedience. Souvenir of religious profession. I despised the kingdom of this world and all its worldly pomps out of love for Jesus Christ, my Saviour; I saw Him and I loved Him; I believed in Him and to Him have I consecrated my heart. (Office of S. Agnès V.M.) Queen of virgins pray for us. (front) Souvenir de ma profession religieuse 24 Juillet, 1930. Sr. St. Denis. (back)
