She was dedicated to the poor and the sick, and became a nun after her husband's death. Saint Elizabeth of Hungary (1207-1231) was a Hungarian princess who established a hospital where she served the sick. Elizabeth of Aragon was the great-niece and namesake of Elizabeth of Hungary.
