Description
Solemn Benediction of the Grand Rally of Name Societies, consisting of St. Mary's Institute and Dayton parishes, May 25, 1912. The benediction took place at the old baseball diamond where Sherman Hall now stands. On the right is the temporary altar erected for the event. Many participants are kneeling. The Most Reverend Moeller, Archbishop of Cincinnati, gave special permission to have the Solemn Benediction from the temporary altar.
