Description

Each year, Catholics of the Archdiocese are given the opportunity to help the poor, the homeless, and others in need through the Archbishop’s Annual Campaign for Progress. “Be rich in good works, share what you have,” reminds Archbishop James Francis Stafford as this year’s campaign begins.

This week, The Catholic Hour begins a nine-part series titled "Education Through Service," a project for seniors at Regis High School. Each year, Regis seniors are required to complete three weeks of community service as part of their graduation requirements. D. Mikel Scharbel, Pastoral Chairman of Regis High School, tells us more.

Jamaica—most of us think of it as a tropical paradise, often showcased in travel magazines and Sunday sections. But there’s another side to Jamaica—a more sobering story. Pat Hillyer, a feature writer for The Catholic Register, recently visited Jamaica and shares her experiences with host John Connors on The Catholic Hour.

Fr. Michael Manning reflects on Jesus’ commitment to the poor, offering spiritual insights on compassion and service.

In our continued focus on Catholic elementary education in the Archdiocese, The Catholic Hour visits St. Francis de Sales Elementary School with Don Cardenas to explore their educational programs and community impact.
