Francesca Longo Franchina, MSE, OCDS, is an independent media producer and president of Franchina Communications International, LLC. She produces and hosts a weekly radio program, Francesca and Friends, for Radio Maria www.radiomaria.us, which broadcasts in more than 60 countries. She has received Arnie and Peabody Awards for Mamma Francesca's Place, a series of award winning children’s programs for cablevision, and several documentaries, including Our Jewish Roots in Christianity. She is co-founder of CREDO Apostolate+ (Catholics in Renewal and Evangelization, Dayton, OH and + Beyond www.credoapostolate.us ) a collaborative effort of SCC and Prayer Groups assisting pastors and parishes in the New Evangelization. CREDO Apostolate+ produces local and national workshops, conferences and retreats for spiritual renewal and healing. Francesca is the former Director of Communications for the Marianists (Society of Mary), Province of Cincinnati. She taught in the Dayton Public Schools and at WomanLine Crisis Counseling Center. She received a United Way Grant to conduct a pilot program in the Dayton schools using her TYBO TACTICS™ and PROJECT TOTL™ as an alternative to drugs, alcohol, teen pregnancy and suicide. A member and Regional Coordinator of ACTheals.org , she was recognized by the governor of Ohio for Community Service, named one of Dayton’s Ten Top Women, and received the University of Dayton Alumni Award for Special Achievement for her community work in TYBO TACTICS™. A native of Dayton, Ohio Francesca graduated from UD with a B.S. in Elementary Education (K-8), M. S. in Educational Counseling and Human Services, and certification in Pastoral Telecommunications. Francesca and her husband Joseph are Marianist Affiliates, co-founders of The Joyful Lambs of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary Community, reside in the Dayton area and have five sons.
