Abstract
Coal tars contain a majority of a resins mostly appearing in thin sections observed by TEM as clean isotropic droplets (no microtexture). The primary QI (a resins) are carbon blacks or plastic spheres having either a radial or an alternate texture. They are surrounded by isotropic halos (p resins in contact with a resins and yt resins in the external part) [l]. By cake filtration, the tar can be cleared of its a resins. Simultaneously the halos are removed.
