The Creche Herald began in 1997 as a magazine for nativity enthusiasts published by Rita Bocher. It eventually became the official publication for the nonprofit organization, Friends of the Creche, a society of collectors and enthusiasts dedicated to the artistry, display, and traditions of the Christmas Nativity, also known as crèches.
The publication features nativity sets and personal reflections from members in the organization; information about nativities and nativity exhibits; and information about the Friends of the Creche annual meeting.
