Christian Matijas-Mecca is associate professor of dance and music at the University of Michigan. He is author of The Words and Music of Brian Wilson (Praeger, 2017) and Listen To This! Understanding Psychedelic Music from the Beatles to Zappa (Greenwood, forthcoming, 2020). He is researching a book on soul music in Detroit from 1967-1977.
