Dr. Frederick “Rickey” Vincent, associate professor of diversity studies at California College of the Arts, is also a lecturer in African-American Studies at University of California Berkeley and the City College of San Francisco. He has published extensively, including his 1996 book Funk: The Music, the People and the Rhythm of The One (St. Martin’s Press).
