Biographical Information

(1864-1949) Franco Leoni composed operas, cantatas, and oratorios. He studied music at the Milan Conservatory under Ponchielli and Dominiceti. He moved to England, where he worked as a conductor in London. His work has been performed at the Metropolitan Opera. After Leoni returned to Italy in 1917, he composed several other operas about which little is known.
