Abstract
The effectiveness of using incommensurately spaced nonlinear resonators to reduce the interference tails of linear echoes that arise in a uniformly spaced ensemble is investigated. It is shown that the application of incommensurate nonlinear resonators retains or enhances parametric nonlinear echoes while significantly reducing the periodic linear echoes characteristic of commensurate ensembles.
