Description

St. John Eudes was the founder of the Order of Our Lady of Charity, the precursor to the Sisters of the Good Shepherd. His order disbanded during the French Revolution and reorganized later. After the reorganization, St. Mary Euphrasia Pelletier was the superior of one of the houses at Tours, France. Pelletier opened another house in 1828; it was the Sisters of Our Lady of Charity of the Good Shepherd at Angers.
