Abstract
This creative thesis is a short story cycle. It includes five short stories that address the issue of cultural interaction. The reason for writing this piece is to shed light on some of the issues that rise up when cultures clash. Being a bilingual person myself, I chose the characters to be foreigners who come to the States for a temporary stay. These stories follow the journey of one particular girl and her adjustment and fight in a different culture than her own. She learns how to adapt and survive without losing her identity in the process.
