Description
One piece nativity set made in Peru. The set is made of sculpted, glazed clay. Mary is seated in prayer before the manger. With his right hand, Joseph beckons the viewer to come forward. Cow and donkey join in the joyful welcome. Two sheep calmly observe the visitors gaze. The figures are set into a hut of bricks and straw, topped with a star; to the left is a palm tree. There are indistinct markings on the base.
