Description
"La Fuite en Egypte" is the second part of Hector Berlioz's oratorio L'enfance du Christ, based upon the Holy Family's flight to Egypt. This section is divided into three parts: the overture, "L'adieu des Bergers" (The Shepherds' Farewell), and "Le Repose de la Sainte Famille" (The Repose of the Holy Family). Includes orchestration for two flutes, oboe, English horn, two violins, viola, cello, and bass; and soprano, alto, tenor, and bass voice parts.
