Description
A hymn for four voice parts dedicated to Our Lady of the Pillar, the name given to Mary for her apparition in Zaragoza, Spain in the first century. This hymn was written by Brother Robert Holzmer, S.M., at Mt. St. John, the Marianists' home in Dayton, Ohio. Our Lady of the Pillar holds special significance for the Society of Mary, as Blessed William Joseph Chaminade was residing in exile near the shrine in her honor when he received a message from the Virgin Mary to start the religious order that would become the Marianists.
