Abstract

Media highlighted the University's strategic vision, hands-on learning opportunities, responses to the events in Charlottesville, Virginia, and our incoming class the week of Aug. 12-18.

Sociologists Art Jipson and Paul Becker, political violence expert Mark Ensalaco, political scientist Christopher Devine, law professor Tom Hagel and Crystal Sullivan in campus ministry lent their voices to stories covering the events in Charlottesville, Virginia.

The Dayton Daily News, WHIO-TV and WDTN-TV did stories on how experiential learning in the School of Engineering's Innovation Center led to seven students being listed on a patent with international food services company Hobart.

That trio also reported on the University welcoming its largest and most diverse class in history.
