Abstract

The new year began with a spotlight on how faculty use student feedback by 'The Chronicle of Higher Education,' a high honor from 'The Academic Minute,' and national media seeking UD experts.

The Chronicle highlighted the communication department's use of student feedback in designing the "Principles of Oral Communication" class.

"The Academic Minute" named management and marketing professor Christian Kiewitz's contribution the Best Communications Segment of 2017. Produced by WAMC/Northeast Public Radio, "The Academic Minute" airs in nearly 70 markets across the country. Inside Higher Ed, a leading website on higher education news, also shares the program daily.

NPR talked to Neomi DeAnda in religious studies about the history of breast milk in the Catholic Church.

La Opinion, which bills itself as the largest Spanish-language newspaper in the United States, included Mark Ensalaco of the Human Rights Center in a roundup of experts discussing the cancellation of the temporary protection status for some Salvadoran immigrants.

The Catholic Telegraph also featured the Marian Library and UD's Martin Luther King Jr. celebration events.
