Abstract

Thanks to a new support program, first-year minority enrollment in the University of Dayton's School of Engineering has nearly doubled this fall. Twenty-four students entered the Minority Engineering Program this fall, compared to 14 in 1996. And 10 of last year's 14 students returned to the program, a 71 percent retention rate, which is higher than the national average.
