Abstract

Corporate recruiters have swarmed to the University of Dayton campus this year — twice the number as the previous year. And with graduation still six weeks away, some UD students are receiving multiple offers, with seniors in technical fields being aggressively courted by prospective employers. "It is an outstanding time to be entering the job market," says Gregory Hayes, director of the Career Placement Center at UD. Students in the technical fields continue to be the most highly recruited, but the opportunities are not limited to students graduating with degrees in computer science or engineering degrees, Hayes says. "Anyone with technical skills, such as online researching, Internet knowledge or data processing, will be valued by recruiters," he says.
