Abstract

University of Dayton faculty and staff members received various awards in April, including Panagiotis Tsonis, who received the Alumni Award for Scholarship; Richard Benedum, professor of music, who received the 1998 Alumni Award in Teaching; Steven S. Zabarnick, a chemist in the University of Dayton Research Institute, who won the 1997-98 Wohlleben-Hochwalt Outstanding Professional Research Award; Roger Reeb, assistant professor of psychology, who received the 1998 Research and Scholarship Award from UD's Service Learning Advisory Board; Bill Lewis, associate professor of marketing, who received the 1998 Commitment Award from UD's Service Learning Advisory Board; Cecilia Moore, assistant professor of religious studies, who received the 1998 Outstanding Service Learning Facilitation Award from UD's Service Learning Advisory Board; and Oikos Neighborhood Development Corp., directed by Rita Bowen, a 1995 UD graduate, which received the 1998 Outstanding Community Partner Award from UD's Service Learning Advisory Board.
