Abstract
The Department of Secondary Education, in cooperation with the Department of English at the University of Dayton, has been awarded $44,150 by the U.S. Office of Education principally for faculty development. It is anticipated that the two departments will add faculty members competent in linguistics, English education, and the advanced psychology of learning. An amount in excess of $30,000 is to be used for faculty development; $10,000 for the improvement of library holdings; and approximately $1,000 for practicum experiences.
