Dec. 12- 1894
Mr. Paul Dunbar
Dayton 0. - Dear Sir:
Yours of 10th at hand. I did not intend to fix a date for you at Louia [???] but merely suggested it. You can arrange a date to suit your convenience and I will notify my friends of the time you may fix.
I have the arrangement for you definitely for Weds. the 19th in Toledo and will try to arrange for 20th. Do not think can arrange for 21st. If you will mail me two of your books on receipt of this, think they will help me to make engagements for you. Will do what I can.

This item is part of the Paul Laurence Dunbar House collection at Ohio History Connection, Columbus, Ohio. The collection contains items from 219 N. Summit St., Dayton, Ohio (later 219 N. Paul Laurence Dunbar St.), the home Dunbar purchased for his mother, Matilda J. Dunbar, in 1904. Paul Laurence Dunbar lived there until his death in 1906; Matilda lived there until her death in 1934. It is now the Paul Laurence Dunbar House Historic Site, part of the National Park Service.
