This gallery contains images from the ideation, design and installation of A Place of Passage, a commissioned work of art along the western wall of the main corridor of the first floor of St. Mary Hall on the University of Dayton Campus.
The work, designed to illustrate the Marianist charism, is, like the order itself, of mixed composition: Names of people in the University's history; elements of the mission; meaningful words; three-dimensional objects; and living elements.
Designer and project leader: Misty Thomas-Trout, assistant professor, Department of Art and Design
The project is the culmination of the work of many student, staff and faculty contributors.
