Abstract
For some time now psychology has been accepting and making excellent use of certain theoretical linguistic conceptions. This is referred to generally as demonstrating "the psychological reality of linguistic entities". A sizable body of data now exists which suggests that this is indeed realistic and that some highly abstract theoretical notions do in fact play a role in psychological processes.
