Abstract

The goal of this research is to assess the health literacy of African immigrants and refugees to gain a better understanding of the health information needs of this population. In beginning stages of data collection of administration of the Short Assessment of Health Literacy (SAHL) translated into 3 African languages (Swahili, French, and Kinyarwanda).
