Abstract
A well-established body of research demonstrates the many positive impacts of social-emotional learning (SEL) in schools. SEL implementation is expanding at a fast pace in K-12 schools. Along with it is a call for increased research examining SEL in schools through multiple lenses to better understand the contextual factors that promote high quality implementation and sustainability. I will present my work in establishing an SEL research team with a group of graduate students, including sharing the focus of current SEL studies underway. This presentation is intended to broaden the inter-professional discussion across SEHS departments regarding future SEL research collaborations.
