Abstract
Reduction in mental health stigma has resulted in a tidal wave of new clients seeking mental health from an already overtaxed system. Government organizations, mental health agencies, schools, hospitals, non-profits, and universities across the State of Ohio have been working collaboratively over the past year to address workforce shortages in all mental health professions. In this session, I will provide an overview of the current state of the mental health workforce, an overview of the programs and ideas recently launched, and a summary of the ways UD's mental health programs are working to find solutions.
