Abstract
This project focuses on 24 interviews with faculty and administrators at four case institutions (three four-year institutions, and one community college) concerning their experiences with data-use and its implications for improving equity at their institutions. The presentation will focus on participants’ identification of barriers that prevent or complicate their use of data to support efforts to improve equity within institutions. Study findings provide an empirical view of how institutions and individuals working within them can build effective collaborations, grounded in data, to improve equity in access, retention, attainment, and climate, and to produce equitable experiences for students.
