Description

Plastic doll is wearing a modified habit for the Sisters of the Precious Blood, which was founded by Mother Maria Anna Brunner in Switzerland in 1834. They came to the United states in 1844 to serve German Catholic immigrants, and had a strong presence in Dayton, Ohio. The habit is gray, with a slightly discolored off-white paper collar and a black veil. The doll is also wearing a foil cross hanging from a red cord around her neck.
