Description
Porcelain doll wearing a habit typical of the Society of the Sacred Heart, which was founded in France in 1800 by Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat. The order is engaged chiefly in education. The doll is wearing a black habit and black veil with a white wimple. A metal crucifix hangs around her neck and a rosary hangs from her waist.
