Why the honoree chose the book
The wonderful early sci-fi story Star, Bright, by Mark Clifton, captured my imagination with its descriptions of such mathematical wonders as Möbius strips, Klein bottles, tesseracts and time travel. It is a perfect complement to A Wrinkle in Time, by Madeleine L'Engle.
