Why the honoree chose the book
Third-space theoretical lenses have been integral in framing/guiding a significant portion of my conceptual and empirical work. I find it highly compelling to interrogate the interstitial spaces in social contexts to better understand the challenges and potentialities that exist on the liminal boundaries of phenomena. Bhabha's text is a seminal must-read in order to situate oneself in this exciting in-between-space mindset!
