Why the honoree chose the book
I am a part of the generation that grew up enjoying the fruits of the orchard in classical music grown from the seeds that Maestro Leonard Bernstein planted throughout his life. His analytical and artistic mind has been always a great inspiration to my journey as a performing scholar.
