Why the honoree chose the book

This book holds a special place in my heart for three reasons:

1. Circular dichroism spectroscopy has been the focus of my research throughout the years.
2. Two of the editors, Dr. Nina Berova and Dr. Koji Nakanishi, were my mentors during my visiting scholar year at Columbia University.
3. I had the honor and pleasure of contributing to this book by writing a chapter with my husband, Dr. Gregory Carroll, and with Nobel laureate Dr. Ben Feringa.
