Why the honoree chose the book
My colleague Dr. Mary-Kate Sableski and I have a chapter in this book ("Utilizing a Rubric to Identify Diversity in Children’s Literature") that was the foundation for a significant part of our research. I am very proud of our work and the hopeful impact it can have in supporting all teachers in diversifying their collection of children’s literature.
