Description
Reproduction of a charcoal drawing by French artist Pierre-Léon-Adolphe Annould of the Basilica of the Sacré Cœur in Montmartre, Paris, France. The image of Jesus, with the sacred heart visible and one arm raised, appears behind the church building; there is also a cross behind Jesus. The back of the card has a prayer for the consecration to the Sacred Heart, with an indulgence of one hundred days for its recitation granted by Pope Benedict XV in 1915. This card was printed in cooperation by the publishers Boumard Fils and Charles Letaille at an unknown date around 1915.

Montmartre. A ses pieds j'ai prié pour vous. (front) Consécration au Sacré-Cœur. Enrichie de 100 jours d'indulgence par S.S. Benoit XV (15 Décembre 1915) O Cœur très saint de Jésus! O source de tout bien! Je vous adore, je vous aime et, me repentant vivement de mes fautes, je vous présente mon pauvre cœur. Rendez-le humble, patient, pur et en tout conforme à vos désirs. Faites, ô bon Jésus, que je vive en vous et pour vous. Protégez-moi dans les périls; consolez-moi dans les afflications: accordez-moi la santé du corps, du secours dans mes nécessités temporelles, votre bénédiction dans toutes mes œuvres et la gráce d'une sainte mort.
